There are some people in this world who will directly sleep through a train running like a their bedroom and not even blend. Is this a good or bad is certainly? Well, on one hand you’d never have to consider annoying neighbors waking you up in the middle of night, but on the other hand, you would do sleeping through a literal disaster love a lot these people !
Welcome to /r/ToastMe, where the rules are pretty simple; it’s pretty much the opposite of /r/RoastMe where people who are going through a tough time post a photo of themselves along with whatever sh*t they’re dealing with, and the good people of Reddit do their best to uplift said person. It’s just the thing you need id you’re having a rough day!
Keanu would be proud.
We could all use some life hacks from time to time, and today we’re bringing you some of the most useful – for that we have /r/LifeProTips to thank. Sometimes you just read ’em and have no idea how you didn’t think of that in the first place because they’re clever, yet simple.
And if you have no idea what #26 is referring to, we got your back.
The r/dankmemes subreddit is currently overflowing with the immensely entertaining Area 51 memes, but if you scroll a little deeper you’ll find some memes with a little more philosophical meat. Hiding between jokes about aliens you’ll find memes that go in on Nestle for their shitty business practices and negligible ethical code. The memes are a response to a comment from Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, a former CEO and chairman of Nestle. Letmathe claimed in a 2005 documentary that calling water a human right is extreme. Pair that with allegations of stealing water, and the Nestle Infant Formula scandal and you’ve got cause for serious meme-age. While these memes probably won’t have any impact on the multi-billion dollar company, we do have to give props to memers that use their craft to raise awareness of issues like this. Here are some of the most scathing and effective memes we’ve seen yet.
Very little inspires pangs of nostalgia like talk of long, boring, french fry punctuated car trips with your disgruntled family. Reddit user Raheemthegreat decided to liven up his own tedious journey by starting ‘Ask Me Anything’ in the name of his very annoyed mother. The questions range from fascinating to the stuff that would make any parent consider putting their child up for adoption – and makes us very happy to be past the age of forced road trips.
See ya later!
The internet has been buzzing about cursed images since the dedicated Tumblr went live in 2015, but we just recently became aware of their slightly more positive brethren, the blessed image and the blursed image. The idea of a blessed image is pretty straightforward: an image that is sweet or wholesome, and leaves one feeling happy. Blursed images are a bit harder to pin down. They’re generally photos with the same mystique as a cursed image, but not quite as sinister. The r/blursedimages subreddit does a pretty good job of cataloging these types of photos. We’ve harvested some of the weirder tidbits from the community, but there are a ton more where these came from. Happy scrolling!
Shaggy Rogers of Scooby Doo fame became somewhat of a dank meme god earlier this year. Reddit and Instagram were overflowing with memes depicting the slacker sleuth as a super-powered deity who is not to be messed with. The “Are You Challenging Me” memes that have been popping up on Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook are definitely related to the Shaggy’s Power meme – they just leave more to mystery. Memers have been using the format to make meta memes (Kyle/Drywall) as well as to make fun of people who are always ready for a fight. We’ve put together the cream of the crop but you can peep more over at Know Your Meme.
The History Channel has been the subject of a great manymemes. While we’ll always be grateful for the undying hilarity of Ancient Aliens memes, a new format has been popping off on Reddit and it’s pure gold. If you’ve ever turned on the History Channel in the wee hours and felt like you were hallucinating, this meme’s for you. The channel’s speculative and alien-filled late-night programming is the subject of ‘History Channel At Night’ memes, and they’re filled with hilarious imagery and brutal truth. Here are some of our favorites.
This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has already inspired some seriously amazing memes. Mini Keanu Reeves and Breathtaking memes are still going strong, but it’s time to make way for a new E3 format. Nintendo fans will be pleased that Luigi is the star of this trending template, and even more pleased that he’s being flanked by two babes. The terrified expression on the character’s face (while seemingly cowering from the babes) was just begging to be meme’d, and Reddit and Instagram have stepped up to the plate as per usual. We expect to see a lot more of these memes this week, but here are our favorites so far.
There’s crazy, and then there’s a special kind of crazy – this guy’s girlfriend is clearly the latter in this wild ride of a story! We’re all for animal rights here, but this woman definitely took it to an incredibly unnecessary extreme. Apparently getting eaten alive by bedbugs in your home is not enough of a reason to call an exterminator!
A photo of a math exam has become an unlikely meme format after spending a few years being reblogged on Tumblr. The format started popping up on Reddit back in April, and is being used to describe situations with highly unlikely positive outcomes. We hope to see a lot more of these memes – we’re always rooting for the underdog.
Our new favorite shitpost is a real blast from the past. A 1967 episode of Spider-Man is the latest meme fad to annoy redditors and Instagrammers alike. The still features Spider-Man’s enemies Rhino, Vulture, Electro and Green Goblin, and is generally used to describe dumb things one might do with “the boys” back in the day. Think typing 80,085 on a calculator. While some people might want to forget their more immature moments, we opt to revel in them. If you like what you see, check out our boys at Ebaum’s World. There’s more where this genius came from.
The memers of Reddit and Instagram clearly cannot get over Avengers: Endgame, and frankly, we’re not complaining. We waited years for this movie so it makes sense that we’d make the most out of it with some dank memes. This particular format riffs on the Incredible Hulk bestowing Ant-Man with a taco after his was blown away by a malicious wind. It’s being used as an object-labeling format for a lot of meta Reddit jokes, but we’ve put together the memes that are a bit more relatable – and a bit more spicy.
For more fresh Endgame memes, check out our collection of ‘Steve Rogers Going Through History‘ memes. You won’t be disappointed.
These funny memes, ridiculous Tumblr posts, and weirdly witty tweets may not improve your life or give it meaning, but they’ll certainly make it suck a little less. If you power through these pics and are hungry for more, you can peruse some of these dumb memes or amusing tweets for more time-wasting pleasure.
People like to talk real big on the internet but fortunately for us, sometimes these people get completely shut down and called out on their bullsh*t for our entertainment!
