Okay, Disney. We have one doubt for you. Is nothing SACRED?! Currently the entertainment overlords announced yesterday maybe planning to remake the Home Alone films, and people have had a lot of feelings on what we believe to be a disastrous and downright disrespectful idea. Even Macaulay Culkin decided to weigh in on the announcement, with a photo of what Home Alone would look like today. His self-deprecating and relatable post made a huge impression on Twitter, prompting fans to demand a reboot featuring the real Kevin McCallister. Other fans condemned any remake at all. We’re honestly in that boat.
Kids right this moment will never understand the struggle of having to stop a Tamagotchi alive, or in trying not to get caught passing written by hand notes in class. Like, what are our present-day kids even wasting their hours on in class? vaping in AP history? Watching cat videos on the iPhones? Someone help us out doors here ’cause we’re too of age for this shizz!
“Notorious virgin” (his words, not ours) and Twitter user LxDx asked the internet what they even did before the existence of memes, digging up a whole lot of nostalgia for those who weren’t totally raised by the internet. We may be a little biased, but we think memes have definitely improved the quality of the internet by tenfold.
We’d like to know what you did before memes! Let us know in the comments!
Life’s a b*tch and then you die. You think we have it all that great because we sit around writing about memes and other funny sh*t that happens on the internet? Well, it ain’t that great. We have to do things like write fifty word descriptions about dumb memes that you’ll all forget five minutes after scrolling through ’em. We do it all for you.
If you didn’t get the reference in the title then you’re too young to be reading this (Backstreet Boys, duh).
If you’re constantly feeling simultaneously baffled, yet weirdly intrigued by the latest obsessions of Generation Z (fidget spinners, anyone?), then congratulations, you’re likely an aging Millennial! To help take your mind off of this impending doom, scroll down for some memes and posts that’ll make you feel a little more at ease!
If you remember all or most of these things then you’re likely a sad Millennial who’s feeling a little panicked yourself about getting older (we’re totally not projecting here or anything…). Worry not, because you’re not the only one going through the harrowing process of feeling like you don’t fit in with the kids anymore. Pretty soon you’re going to look at a group of 20-year-olds and be tempted to say “how do you do, fellow kids?”
Star Wars fans everywhere are mourning the loss of Peter Mayhew, who passed away in his Texas home on April 30th. Mayhew played the part of Chewbacca in the beloved franchise. In honor of his legacy, we’ve gathered up some memes, both funny and tear-jerking.
Caution: some of these are really going to tug at your heartstrings!
This meme, also known as “Will Smith With A Camera,” features young Will Smith in the intro song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It’s a meme that’s been floating around the internet for a bit now, and we’re loving the ’90s nostalgia it brings us. Accordingly, we put together a fresh gallery of our favorites!
And be sure to check out Know Your Meme for more examples!
There’s a very special place where Slipknot fans and Spongebob Squarepants fans can both rejoice, and it’s within this video of Corey Taylor performing the show’s theme song for a crowd in London. This magical moment may have occurred a few years ago, but the feels really never get old.
Many of us Millennials will think back to the ‘90s as the superior decade that can never be beat. We were the kids that got to experience ’90s boy bands, Tamagotchis, and the rise of the internet. However, we don’t always stop and think about all the annoying sh*t that we had to deal with on a regular basis, much of it technology-related. These memes and pics highlight those struggles that we’ll never have to deal with again! (And thank God for that.)
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, stars of the cult classic series Bill & Ted, made a shocking announcement yesterday outside of the Hollywood Bowl. The third installment of the films will be released next summer. People have been talking about Face The Music for years, but production has come upon issues since the summer of last year. We’re hoping we’ve seen the end of such issues and can take this announcement seriously. Watching Reeves and Winter perform their stoner-like slacker characters while in their 50’s is sure to be wildly entertaining.
Generation Y gets a lot of sh*t constantly for supposedly being lazy, entitled and easily offended. Are these things actually true? The answer to that is of course subjective, but if you’re a Millennial then you’ll know that stereotypes about us tend to be a bit (or a lot) overplayed, and these tweets make light of that.
All of our Millennial viewers will really appreciate these sentimental pics, which make us really miss the ’80s and ’90s. In fact, you might be tempted to yell at some Generation-Z kids to get off your lawn with their stupid depression jokes and their fidget spinners (are those still a thing…?). Because you know what they say…the grass is always greener in past decades?
Ah, the ’90s. The decade of our favorite heartthrob Jonathan Taylor Thomas, boy bands, Space Jam, Tamagotchis and many more things that all of us Millennials so desperately miss. If you long for the superior decade of the ’90s then you’ll really appreciate scrolling through these nostalgic AF pics. We guarantee they’ll make you reminisce hardcore.

Arthur was truly a great kids’ TV show, and some of us are kind of embarrassed to admit that we watched it until we were way older than is socially acceptable. But really, what was there not to love about the show? It taught us lots of good wholesome morals that we’ve all carried into adulthood!
If you’ve been on the internet over the past week then you’ve probably heard about the “how hard did aging hit you challenge,” in which people on social media compare photos of themselves from 2009 with a current photo from 2019. The challenge started on Facebook and quickly gained popularity on other platforms, also inspiring some people to make satirical then-and-now posts.

We all love a good self-deprecating joke. It gives you the opportunity to make fun of yourself before anyone else can make fun of you. Accordingly, this trending Twitter meme, “Some of you were never…,” highlights some of the embarrassing behaviors of the past that we can all relate to!
