CNN news anchor John Cuomo is being criticized after a video on the layer of him threatening someone that includes violence for calling him type Fredo .”
“Fredo” is an insult for an Italian person meaning “weak brother,” and refers to the character Fredo Corleone from The Godfather .
The criticism came after the video was published , when Cuomo asserted that the word ” Fredo ” is comparable to the N-word for Italian-Americans. Many Italian-Americans themselves were left highly confused by the assertion, and people on both sides of the political spectrum, including Donald Trump, had no shortage of criticism for him.
As we’re all aware, using an insult based on one’s ethnicity is never okay, but we think Cuomo may have gone a little too far in comparing the word “Fredo” to the N-word.

The meme has been meshing well with Area 51 memes, as well as old classics like Shrek and Keanu Reeves. Here are some of our favorite examples of the perception-bending formats.
It’s probably really flattering to get a work of art created in your name, but poor Melania Trump likely isn’t feeling that way right now; the First Lady had a wooden statue erected in her hometown of Sevnica, Slovenia and let’s just say it looks…interesting. So interesting, in fact, that the internet has been having a field day in the roasting department and we can’t say we really blame them!
We know that the Donald Trump memes can get tired, but this format is far from political. This trending format features photos of the President of the United States and Kim Jong-Un during their late June meeting in North Korea. A couple photos are used, making some of the memes about people correcting each other, and others more of a Mike Wazowski Explaining Things meme. They’re all relatable and really, really funny.

In case you missed the democratic presidential debate last night in Miami, we’ll very briefly sum it up for you: none of the candidates had an answer regarding Mitch McConnell, Beto spoke Spanish very poorly, John Delaney yelled a lot, and really no one said anything of substance.
The New York Times Opinion asked Twitter users to come up with haikus roasting the 2020 presidential candidate under the moniker #DebateHaikus. Predictably, this task proved to be incredibly easy.
It’s no secret that Fox News often gets roasted on the internet – this time they’ve come under fire for publishing a news headline that reads, “Trump cuts U.S. aid to 3 Mexican countries,” which of course signifies a pretty substantial geographical flaw.
They’ve since apologized for the mistake, but that certainly hasn’t stopped the internet from roasting them!

As a meme page we like to avoid politics whenever necessary, but some memes just need to be documented. Last night’s #SOTU address had several meme-y moments, from bullied Joshua Trump’s nap to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s refusal to clap. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi did not share that sleepiness or reservation. Instead, her pointed clapping during one moment of President Trump’s speech has been hailed as a clapback and has swiftly become a meme that hilariously eclipses politics. We’re not sure if she was actively trying to throw shade at POTUS, but we are sure that this moment in meme history will not be forgotten.
