Luckily, most customers tend to be very nice and understanding, but when you get that one entitled a-hole, it can just really ruin your day. Most of us have or will have to work in some sort of customer service job at some point in our lives. The industry can be great; you meet tons of people, make tips, and eat a whole bunch of delicious free food if you work in a restaurant. Perhaps the biggest downsides are the whole being-poor thing, and the fact that you have to occasionally deal with horrible customers who make you want to punch a brick wall!

Anyone who’s worked in customer service knows very well the joys (read: horrors) of working in the industry. Most customers are great, but the odd horrible one can really ruin your entire day. Whether you’re a bartender, tech support, barista or retail worker, you will deeply understand every one of these stories.
Most of us have had to work terrible customer service jobs at some point just to make ends meet. These jobs are too often underappreciated and can really humble you – whether you like it or not. You’ve got to deal with awful customers, terrible pay, and doing jobs you really don’t want to do.
